Meet the Hunter — Brendan Moorcroft
Brendan Moorcroft is the founder and driving force behind Garland Hunting Safaris. His roots go deep into South Africa’s rural and hunting traditions: he grew up on the family farm at Klipkraal, on Penhoek Pass in the Stormberg Mountains — a heritage farm settled in 1870.
He started hunting at age six, alongside his father, and over the years built an extensive professional resume: more than 15 years as a licensed Professional Hunter, 83 Cape buffalo hunted, and multiple roles as PH or backup on dangerous-game hunts.
Brendan’s career spans work with many established outfitters across the Eastern Cape, giving him broad experience across terrain, game species, and hunt styles. This, combined with his calm demeanor, deep understanding of bushcraft, and ability to read terrain, wind, and animal behaviour, has made him one of the most sought-after professional hunters in the region.
