Unforgettable Moments – Accommodation Garland Hunting Safaris

Introduction – Accommodation Garland Hunting Safaris

At Garland Hunting Safaris, we tailor-make an unforgettable hunting experience — now proudly operating as part of the broader Capstone Game Farming Enterprise.

Capstone is a forward-looking wildlife economy project based in the Eastern Cape that combines sustainable wildlife management, luxury accommodation, and eco-tourism under one roof.

Our lodge is located within the game farm, giving guests an immersive wild-bush experience with the comfort and standards of a professionally managed wildlife enterprise.

From the deck, you can often spot giraffe, zebra, nyala and other game passing by — a unique blend of safari charm and live-nature spectacle.

Communal space

The communal space — the lapa — features an indoor braai and an outside firepit: ideal for evenings around the fire after a day in the bush. For warmer days, we offer a swimming pool with a deck — perfect to relax, cool off, and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

In line with Capstone’s commitment to sustainability and modern infrastructure, the lodge is fully solar-powered — you won’t have to worry about power outages or interruptions, even in remote wilderness settings.

By combining your personal experience and hunting expertise (Brendon) with Capstone’s professionalism and conservation-driven framework, we aim to offer clients a high-end, ethical, and authentic African hunting safari and accommodation experience.

Catering Specialist • Lodge Manager • Heart of Hospitality

Shanna Moorcraft is the heartbeat of the lodge at Garland Hunting Safaris. With a natural passion for hospitality and a gift for creating warm, welcoming environments, she ensures every guest feels at home from the moment they arrive.

As the head of catering and lodge management, Shanna oversees the lodge’s daily operations with professionalism and genuine care.

Her culinary skills have become one of the defining features of the Garland experience. Working closely with the talented ladies in the kitchen, she prepares a wide variety of delicious venison dishes, each showcasing freshly hunted game paired with her distinctive sides, flavors, and presentations.

Kitchen

From tender slow-cooked cuts and grilled backstraps to rich stews, roasts, braai favourites, and her own signature sauces, Shanna offers numerous venison dishes throughout each safari, giving guests a true field-to-table experience. Her meals bring the hunt to life — hearty, comforting, and authentically Eastern Cape.

Beyond the kitchen, Shanna ensures the lodge runs smoothly and that every guest’s needs are anticipated:

Capstone Commitment & Conservation

Garland Hunting Safaris is proud to form part of the Capstone Game Farming Enterprise, a flagship biodiversity and wildlife-economy initiative in the Eastern Cape. This project focuses on restoring natural ecosystems, strengthening wildlife populations, and developing sustainable land-use models that benefit both conservation and local communities.

As one of Capstone’s on-site professional partners, Brendan Moorcraft plays a key role in ensuring that all hunting activities align with responsible wildlife management principles. With his deep knowledge of the Eastern Cape’s fauna, flora, and seasonal patterns, Brendan helps guide Capstone’s approach to selecting hunt areas, maintaining ethical quotas, and ensuring that each safari supports the long-term health of the landscape.

Capstone’s vision is not simply to host guests — it is to protect biodiversity, expand wildlife habitat, and promote a self-sustaining, conservation-based economy. By choosing to hunt with Garland Hunting Safaris, clients directly support these efforts. Revenue contributes to improved habitat management, anti-poaching monitoring, job creation, and the ongoing development of a thriving, ecologically responsible game-farming model.

Through this partnership, Brendan combines his decades of experience with a larger conservation mission: offering guests not only a world-class hunting adventure but also the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, ethical, and conservation-driven African wildlife project.
